Bevan - I personally could not care less what individuals suggest about sulfation. I ran an experiment developed to answer yes or no, whether batteries can be desulfated. My experiment revealed that one might get a quarter to a third short-term recovery. I would not explain that as a "yes".
Others can easily duplicate my expermiment. Humanity being what it is, some people so do not like an ugly truth obstructing of a gorgeous story, their counter arguments will always remain in words, not deeds. The litmus test: Desulfation stays a having a hard time market. Something is not ideal. There is no conspiracy.
If you want batteries to last longer, deal with them, assist them while they are still serviceable, don't fuss over them after they "signed off". We don't feed medicine to dead individuals. Bevan - Where does the acid that raised your SG originated from? John- just got back on line after week after changing ISP!!! The increased sg is due to the dollop in the 15 ml included of Inox Mx2 to each cell! IT absolutely is NOT due to decreasing sulfation & thus raising sg!. 12 volt battery reconditioning.
